Information on Membership Criteria and Eligibility
PREAMBLE

We, members of the Forerunner Welfare Foundation (FWF), firmly believe in the sovereignty of Allah and the messengership of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). We uphold this Code of Conduct to enhance our well-being and that of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, University of Ibadan branch, Ibadan, Nigeria.

DECLARATION OF INTENT:

  • FWF promotes the well-being of Muslim male graduates of the University of Ibadan, guided by Islamic principles.
  • We aim to support the Muslim Students’ Society and empower our members economically.
  • FWF collaborates with Islamic organizations for the betterment of Muslims and society.
  • We strive for equity, justice, and unity in our community.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

  • Support the Muslim Students’ Society for sustainability.
  • Promote economic empowerment through information and training.
  • Collaborate with Islamic organizations for various causes.
  • Improve members’ welfare and support charity.
  • Foster social interactions within Islamic ethics.

MEMBERSHIP:

  • Open to male Muslim graduates of the University of Ibadan.
  • Admission requires a recommendation and understanding of FWF’s objectives.
  • Admitted members have rights and responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RIGHTS OF MEMBERS:

  • Members can post on FWF’s platform, attend events, and vote.
  • Posts must relate to discussions, with verified sources.
  • No spam or un-Islamic messages are allowed.
  • Members contribute a quarterly donation.
  • Non-compliance may lead to loss of membership benefits.

DISCIPLINE OF MEMBERS:

  • A Moderating Team oversees discipline.
  • Violations lead to warnings, suspensions, or fines.
  • Derogatory posts require apologies.
  • The Moderating Team handles data protection breaches.
  • Violations of ethics result in fines determined by the Ethics and Privilege Committee.

RENUNCIATION OF MEMBERSHIP:

  • Members can renounce membership after meeting conditions.
  • Renunciation does not apply if inactivity is due to business or health.
  • FWF may still provide benefits to the family of a deceased member.

STRUCTURE, POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE FOUNDATION:

  • The foundation operates with a General Assembly, Board of Trustee, Moderating Team, Shurah Committee, and Committees.
  • The General Assembly makes decisions, amends the code, and approves the budget.
  • The Board of Trustee advises, represents, and mediates.
  • The Moderating Team oversees administration, resolves disputes, and appoints committees.
  • The Shurah Committee appoints the Moderating Team.
  • Committees execute activities under the foundation.
